Onewheel Fangs are installed beneath your deck’s front footpad, at the front of your Onewheel board.

Due to their strategic positioning, it’s easy to reduce the tendency to the infamous Onewheel nosedive.

A nosedive results from an imbalance between the board and the rider.

For instance, if you push too hard to increase speed, you prepare the ground for a nosedive.

This is because all your weight is brought forward over the board’s front, and this will cause the nose to touch the ground.

If your Onewheel is low on battery, it has less power to delegate to auto-balancing (Onewheel is a self-balancing board).

This means that your balancing mistakes cannot be corrected by your wheel. If your battery is completely drained out, it will cut off when you are riding.

How Do You Install Fangs On Onewheel?

Thankfully, installing Fangs on your Onewheel is an easy task that will not take much of your time.

Therefore, if you have decided that Fangs are worth your money, you will find it easy to learn how to install them and start enjoying their benefits.

To install Onewheel Fangs, you will need to acquire the kit. Luckily, the kit comes with a manual with all the details you will need in this procedure.

The first step will be to unscrew the bolts holding in place the front footpad.

These are four where two are on the footpad’s top while the other two are underneath the footpad, in front of your board’s headlight.

After removing the footpad bolts, lift the footpad towards the guard but ensure you do not excessively strain the cable attached to the footpad’s underside.

Therefore, make sure that you keep it very close to the wheel guard.

Proceed to apply some superglue (if you want) around the nuts seated within the wooden footpad. This will reinforce the wood around this area.

Start by placing the non-slip pads at the bottom of the brackets. After this, simply push the bolts through the bracket holes.

Since these bolts are prone to coming out while riding, it’s advisable to use a little thread lock and prevent this from happening.

Proceed to ensure the bolts are put in place and well tightened. However, avoid over-tightening them since this can split your board’s front footpad!

Now, you are ready to push the spacers and bearings into the Fang’s wheels. Start by pushing the first bearing and then continue by pushing the spacer.

After the spacer, push in the second bearing. Do the same to the other wheel.

Lastly, secure the Fang wheels within the wheel brackets. First, you need to take a bolt and then hold it on the wheel’s outer bracket side.

Place a washer on the inside of the bracket. After this, push the wheel and another washer to separate the wheel and the other inner side of the bracket.

Proceed to push the bolt and secure it with the provided nut. This should be repeated on the other side.

Congratulations! You’re all done.

Onewheel Fangs 2.1 And Minis 2.0 features

Onewheel Fangs 2.1 is different from Onewheel Minis 2.0.

When you place Onewheel Fangs 2.1 besides Onewheel Minis 2.0, your attention will be drawn to the fact that Fangs 2.1 has larger wheels.

The wheel measures 35mm in diameter. On the contrary, Minis 2.0 has a smaller wheel that measures 25mm in diameter.
